What an awesome old home this is Blair. I have never been to the prairie so I have no idea how it was back then. This is a fabulous image!!!
Blair Wainman replied:
Thank you so much Deb!! There are so many abandoned houses on these prairies and it seems that the soul of this area of the world is withering away with the homes.

A beautiful, wistful image Blair, makes me wonder about it's history. Thank you for the comment on my work!
Blair Wainman replied:
Thanks Stephen!! Lots of these are disappearing...and with them, their history!!

another of my favorites ... this one still haunts me Blair ... the colors and clarity are second to none ... but it's that almost 3D look in through the windows that pulls me in ... what a lovely and well-loved home it was at one time. Bless its heart ... where did everyone go??? Tugs at the heart, my friend.
Blair Wainman replied:
This is another one of those images that is a part of me and where I come from. The prairies is such a harsh environment...to survive only strengthens one's character and resolve. These relics, though abandoned are nonetheless time markers that speak to that "survival instinct" and though they are disintegrating they still bear witness to the strength of character and survival instinct that is engraved in the resilience of prairie folk! It tugs at my heart too! Thanks again my friend!!
