This is a beautiful scene and wonderful shot even without the Great Horned Owl but amazing with him! My mother once nursed one back to health after he collided with a car windshield.. He became quite a gentle pet. She released him but he sat on top of our house for about a week.. I think he liked the free meals! haha! Well he finally got hungry enough and left. The adults are VERY large!! :D

Thanks so much Debbie for your wonderful story!! I love being out in nature and go out whenever I can! I sat for quite a while watching this guy...was sorry to have missed his sibling who just flew away moments before! Yes, these owls are very large when they are fully grown!! We have so many abandoned buildings...just what they like!!
