Description
A male White-belly Woodstar takes advantage of the Kangaroo Paw flowers in this capture. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest. This one was captured in the Jose Celestino Mutis Botanical Gardens of Bogota, Colombia.

Simply stunning! His throat color is such a beautiful magenta color and along with the white and rainbow green Feathers He is really a show stopper! Fantastic capture!! f/love!! I can see I will have to come back to catch up! :D

...I'm speechless!!! I almost can't believe it!! You mean to say there are NO hummingbirds in such a beautiful paradise??? I never knew that!!! ...How sad really. I thought with all the gorgeous flowers you have there that there would be hummingbirds everywhere!!

Thanks Al!! I tried to get more of "him" in the picture but didn't quite make it! It's either I get all the front or all of the back...a nice profile shot would be nice!! Not too demanding am I? Lol!!
