Description
El Nevado del Tolima (Mount Tolima) is an active volcano and is one of 3 that arise from the Central Andes Range of the Cordillera Mountains of South America, located in the state of Tolima, Colombia. It reaches a height of 5200 Meters (17,600 Feet) above Sea Level. Though it last erupted in 1943, it continues to occasionally send out plumes of ash and steam from the various flumes that flank its summit!

This is beautiful! I love how the foreground is dark & the volcano kinda pops :-)

Thanks April!! It was like 6 AM and just light enough to catch this mountain before the clouds poured in and enshrouded the whole thing by 6:30 AM...as it is most of the day!
