Description
The windowsill of an abandoned farmyard building provides the perfect perch for one...well maybe two! The sibling was there but quickly left as I approached leaving the other to wait or decide when to flee as well!

This is such a wonderful capture!! A rare site I am sure! v.f
Blair Wainman replied:
Thanks Debbie!! We have so many abandoned buildings that we actually have quite a few around. What was rare was to see both siblings sitting in the same window sill...I missed that shot but only a few seconds!

Thank you, Blair, for your nice words. This vacation is more about long overdue rest than photography...but, you can be sure I'm taking my camera!! :-)

I hear them, occasionally, at night..but, then I get afraid because we have small dogs. But, I never see them during the day. We are headed to the east coast in a few weeks & friends who we will be staying with say they have a nest of huge owls on their property...so, maybe I'll catch my first ones soon!! :-)
Blair Wainman replied:
...well I sure look forward to seeing the many great photos that you will no doubt get! You are a wonderful photographer!!! Have a wonderful and safe trip!!

I have still never seen an owl in person & would be so thrilled to get a great capture like this one! Outstanding work, Blair!! The framing is just perfect...and, the detail in the owl is amazing!!! f/v
Blair Wainman replied:
Wow!! Thanks so much for your awesome comment and votes!! You know it's kinda sad but this is the reward for seeing all the farms abandoned in this area of the country. So the owls just move in!! You can find one sitting in almost all the abandoned houses and buildings in the country! It's really hauntingly beautiful!
